Rich by Thirty Newsletter

Lesley Scorgie achieved some fame as a young investment whiz when she appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show in a segment called Ordinary People, Extraordinary Wealth at the age of 17. Oprah's accountants determined Lesley would be a millionaire in her mid-twenties because of her skill and dedication to saving and investment.

Now she is 23, a graduate of the University of Alberta in finance and marketing, she works for  major oil company and publishes the Rich by Thirty Newsletter.

Published four or more times times a year, the newsletter is aimed at young people, teaching them the skills and mindset that have worked so well for Lesley. The newsletter's slogan, in fact, is "financial literacy made simple".

Issues include profiles of young entrepreneurs, articles on success principles, debt management, getting that first job and a step-by-step program from Lesley that any young person can follow.

The newsletter also launched a portfolio that young people can follow.

Although originating in Canada, the ideas are global in scope.
