Nick Chase is a decidedly interesting fellow and much of his newsletter is taken up with commentary and an extensive collection of interesting quotations on economics, politics and the stock market.

He does follow a Model Portfolio, the Professor's Investment Group as he calls it.

And he also tries to time the market.

The price is right - free if you get it online. As for the print version, it's cheap at just US$39 but he limits it to just 50 subscribers. He's clearly not in the newsletter game for the money but because he loves doing it.

He also publishes on an irregular basis but will put out 11 issues a year.
